SASS-E Girlz Engineering Career Counseling Program
SASS-E Girlz is a comprehensive engineering outreach program available through SWE with funding from the Dorothy M. and Earl S. Hoffman Trust. Designed by Dr. Lisa Hinkelman, a Faculty member in Counselor Education at Ohio State University, SASS-E Girlz strives to develop and leverage school and community partnerships. It is designed to unite SWE outreach volunteers with middle school counselors with the aim of encouraging girls to pursue a career in engineering.
SWE members and school counselors have an opportunity to foster girls' interest in math and science, and ultimately, impact the career decision making of female students.
